German standard high molybdenum hot work die steel (X38CrMoV5-3) with Mo content up to 2.7-3.3%. Excellent hot strength and temper resistance. Suitable for precision die casting dies operating at elevated temperatures. Quenching at 1030-1070°C.
Applications
High-temperature precision die casting dies, large hot forging dies, hot extrusion tools, high-temperature wear components.
