German standard manganese chromium tungsten cold work die steel (100MnCrW4), an oil-quenching tool steel. Medium wear resistance with good toughness and low quenching deformation. Suitable for medium-duty cold work dies and gauges. Quenching at 780-820°C.
Applications
Gauges, piercing punches, small blanking dies, cold shears, taps, reamers.
