German standard high carbon high chromium cold work die steel, equivalent to D2 type. Combines high hardness, high wear resistance and high compressive strength. Widely used for demanding precision stamping and cold forming dies. Quenching at 1000-1050°C.
Applications
Precision blanking dies, cold forming dies, powder compacting molds, shear blades, ceramic molds.
